A New Chapter: The Story of Dhauladhar Pickles

Mrs Pramila Devi - Dhauladhar Cafe

Meet Mrs. Parmila Devi

At 60, Mrs. Parmila Devi found herself at a crossroads after retiring from her long and fulfilling career. Instead of slowing down, she felt a spark of excitement as she pondered a long-held dream: to share her passion for making pickles. One evening, she turned to her daughter, Sonali, and shared her aspirations.

“Sonali, I want to pursue my love for pickling,” Parmila said, her eyes shining with enthusiasm. “It’s something I’ve always enjoyed, and now I have the time to turn it into something more.”

Sonali, with her eight years of experience in various companies, was immediately supportive. “Mom, that sounds incredible! Let’s make it happen together.”

And so began their journey. They spent countless hours perfecting recipes, sourcing fresh ingredients, and crafting unique blends that highlighted traditional flavors. With Sonali’s expertise in branding and marketing, they launched Dhauladhar Pickles, sharing Pramila’s cherished recipes with the world.

In no time, their pickles gained popularity, reaching customers all across India through Amazon. But they didn’t stop there. Inspired by the success, they envisioned a place where they could connect with their community and share their story.

“We should open an offline store and a café,” Sonali suggested one day. “Imagine a cozy spot in Andretta, right across from the pottery studio, where people can taste your pickles and enjoy local dishes!”

Parmila’s heart swelled with excitement at the thought. Together, they set to work, bringing their vision to life.

Today, Dhauladhar Pickles is not just a brand; it’s a celebration of flavors and family. The café in Andretta is set to become a vibrant gathering spot, inviting both locals and visitors to come together.
